Art Jewelry - Marquise Deco Cuff

Regular price $ 225.00 $ 0.00
This gift of art is modeled on the rich gold cuff in Art Deco style, worn by the Marquise Raoul de Saint Cyr in Jean Dunand's lacquered wood Portrait of Juliette de Saint Cyr (ca.1925). Art Deco flourished between the First World War and the Second. The Marquise was American. She was a daughter of the wealthy tobacco magnate, Morris Schinasi. This is the ideal piece of art jewelry for a self-made woman. Morris rose from the most humble beginnings. As a young teenager he worked as a guard in a Jewish cemetery.

Art Jewelry: Hand enameled 18K gold overlay with box-and-tongue closure. 2'' Width; inner circumference: 7''.
