Medieval Cloisters Ground Ivy Watch

Regular price $ 125.00 $ 0.00
A gift of art with mystical allure, the design of this watch comes from a fifteenth-century woodcut showing the growth of ground ivy. Ground ivy (Glechoma hederacea), in many places regarded as weed, enjoyed a higher status in the Middle Ages. Concoctions prepared from it were believed to be an effective treatment for bladder stones, headache caused by heat, some other ailments affecting hearing and smell, and the “bite of creeping things.”
